Latest leafy....

This is the first verdigris version I've done of my leafy wall sculptures...

I'm pleased with the softness of the colour with hints of the red copper coming through the patination.

Trentham Gardens

During our visit to Thentham on Sunday we also went into the gardens...

I particularly liked the metal leaf outlines we discovered on the woodland walk - the idea being you took rubbings of the leaves. Obviously the gardens would look totally different during the summer (another visit maybe...) plants were just beginning to burst into life.

I've recently supplied a super new gallery in Trentham, Stoke on Trent. I went to visit on Sunday & had a lovely time exploring. Hannah only opened on Saturday & had already placed a top up order for my greetings cards!

Source Book inspiration

I completed another of my source books last night. I find them a really useful when researching for new designs plus it's a great excuse for not throwing stuff away! Only trouble is it takes so long to collate the images....

Birds, birds, birds....

I had my first ever visit to Slimbridge Wetland Centre yesterday with friend & fellow blogger Sue Brown. What an amazing place! Fantastic birds everywhere. I must get a bigger zoom lens for my camera though...however some of the equipment the bird spotters were sporting was rather excessive if you ask me!

I'll definitely visit again at different times of the year to see what other feathered visitors are there?

Lovely Lyme Regis

Had a lovely couple of days down in Lyme Regis on Sun/Mon.
Beautiful sunshine! Fab to see the sea, go beachcombing & eat
fish & chips!!
