Little birdie pieces...

Two of my smaller leaf pieces...

I sold the blue tit one at Art in Action but the wren is on display at Cirencester.

Made in etched copper & brass the addition of the patination of the ivy leaves is really effective I think. Having a little break from making the next few days but then I'll be back to hammering & soldering!

CREATIVE CREATURES IN THE COTSWOLDS

I've been at Cirencester all day today setting up the ' Creative Creatures' exhibition with Shelly Perkins. Slightly worn out now....especially after a very busy Art in Action which went brilliantly!

Here's hoping for lots of visitors to our show which starts tomorrow & continues everyday until 6th August at the Pop up Gallery at New Brewery Arts.

I love Shelly's new work....I have my eye on one of her new wren prints...

Busy 3 weeks....

Not many days left in the studio to finish of work for 3 forthcoming events....

The first of which is this Saturday's Art Market in Cheltenham - along the Promenade area as usual 10am - 5pm (hope the weather is ok?)

Next week I'm setting up at Art in Action once again within the Marketplace area with friend Penny Williams, the show will take place from Thursday 21st July to Sunday 24th July at Waterperry in Oxfordshire. It really is an amazing event with lots happening...well worth a visit if you can.

The third event I'm involved with is in Cirencester. Myself & artist Shelly Perkins have hired the pop up gallery at New Brewery Arts. We'll be exhibiting for almost 2 weeks from Tuesday 26th July to Sat 6th August 10am - 5pm daily. 'Creative Creatures in the Cotswolds' will include my jewellery & most recent metalwork pieces (still currently making them!) alongside Shelly's beautiful illustration work.

As we had the Blues Fest at The Fold on Saturday I had the day off!

So I decided to go to the Rococo Gardens at Painswick which I hadn't visited before. It really is a lovely place to spend a few hours wandering around. The veggie patch is particularly impressive, lots of beautiful flowers & cute follies to discover.

After the gardens we went down into Painswick itself to look around the churchyard with it's sculpted yew trees...not sure how many there are there...we found number 93 I think it was? The limestone tombstones have interesting textures & patterns.

A very quiet & tranquil way to spend the afternoon.
