Derek Nice Sea Shack exhibition

Last night we went to the private view of a lovely little exhibition at Kings's School in Worcester.  It was the third return visit by artist Derek Nice (I remember going to the last show but didn't have my camera with me!) with an exhibition entitled 'Sea Shack'.
The work includes an installation inspired by Maltese fisherman's huts. We had a brief chat with Derek & he was explaining that he applies no additional paint to the found pieces of wood - that nature does the work & he then assembles the pieces.  I love the colours of textures & of course the fact that the work is sea related!

Can you spot Tim?

The exhibition is open weekdays (during school hours) until 18th May.  Visitors should report to school reception. Closed at weekends.

I love that idea of nature doing the work and the artist just putting it all together. It has a simple poetry.
