Hello... Settled back into work mode now after my 3 week break! Before I moved to my Bransford studio at The Fold I used to exhibit at trade shows twice a year. This was where I made my gallery contacts & supplied small independent outlets with my work. Although I never intended it to happen I have kind of let things slip a little...when you do not show at events people forget about you!! Soooo...this weekend I've finally got around to producing a small trade catalogue for some for the galleries I have supplied in the past - plus hopefully some new ones!? If any retailer would like to receive a copy of my jewellery brochure please email or give me a call & I'll get one to you ASAP. Any of my retail customers interested in buying jewellery can view a selection of my work on Etsy here.
On our last full day in Santiago one of the things we still wanted to see was the sculpture park...a little walk but worth the effort I think.
On the north side of the Río Mapocho lies a rare triumph in city landscaping: the Parque de las Esculturas, a green stretch along the river decorated with sculptures by noted Chilean artists. Trees muffle the sounds of the Costner Norte freeway, which runs through a tunnel beneath the park.
Now we have better Internet connection I can share some more of the recent photographs.. These are of the Grey Glacier in Torres del Paine, Patagonia, Chile. I'm amazed at the depth of blue & variations in colour. All admired while sipping a pisco sour with glacial ice! Incredible experience....we weren't sure how close the boat would actually get but it was pretty close!
We are now in Valparaiso for a couple of nights...the street art here is even more impressive than
Santiago I think...lots of cats too so of course extra happy! The colourful buildings & blue skies really add something too. Have a full day planned tomorrow so I'm sure there will be more pics to share...
