Verdigris....

I think the Cornish influence in starting to appear in my metalwork....
I have always done a small amount of the verdigris finish on my metal pieces but I'm finding the light really suits the colour down here!  I'm not lacquering these pieces to retain the softness of the surface.  I gently remove some of the verdigris to reveal the copper or brass underneath.

A selection of mounted pieces on oak

NEW individual etched leaves....these have been lacquered to protect the finish (as they are likely to be handled more) - this reveals more of the etched patterns on the copper & brass

Detail of recent wall piece...

Of course there is also the Barbara Hepworth influence....
planning a collection of work, both jewellery & metalwork  inspired by her sculptures (but probably not until next year now...a winter project!)
