The weather was a little gloomy first thing so we decided to visit the Leach Pottery (just down the road from Myrtle) for the first time. Free entry was a bonus courtesy of the Tate Gallery again!
It's a fascinating place; all the tools & equipment, lovely soft lighting & peaceful atmosphere - although that would have been completely different when in full production with 7 potters wheels going at once! We had time to watch the video from 1952 with Bernard Leach narrating & giving an insight into the pottery & his working practice. Although we have seen the work from the Leach pottery before to see where was (& still is with the modern workshop additions) actually made is really interesting.

All set for Easter at home....new felt bunny is guarding the popping candy chocolate eggs in one of my handmade nests!
More painted twigs from down the lane....
Not allowed to eat the eggs or will spoil the display!
The stag is dressed for Easter this time....
Hope you have a lovely few days. I shall be exhibiting at The Easter Fine Food & Craft Fair 18th - 21st April at Trereife House near Penzance. The St Ives gallery will also be open apart from Easter Sunday.

This month's issue of Cornwall Living has a full page write up featuring my metalwork & jewellery. I regularly have a little advert in this publication which I've found to work quite well....let's hope this attracts more visitors to the gallery as well this April?
The 2014 Cornwall Galley Guide was delivered to me yesterday...it's always exciting to see your entry in these publications! I'm glad I was able to be included as I nearly missed the deadline....We have plenty of copies of this lovely guide at the Drill Hall so come & collect a copy. I'm sure they will prove very useful for the visitors this Easter & throughout the year.
I'm lucky enough to have another image included on the Guild of Ten entry too! The next guide to be published will be for the Cornwall Open Studios which I should be receiving in the next couple of weeks....so watch this space!
