Leach Pottery

The weather was a little gloomy first thing so we decided to visit the Leach Pottery (just down the road from Myrtle) for the first time.  Free entry was a bonus courtesy of the Tate Gallery again!
It's a fascinating place; all the tools & equipment, lovely soft lighting & peaceful atmosphere - although that would have been completely different when in full production with 7 potters wheels going at once!  We had time to watch the video from 1952 with Bernard Leach narrating & giving an insight into the pottery & his working practice.  Although we have seen the work from the Leach pottery before to see where was (& still is with the modern workshop additions) actually made is really interesting.
