Sally MacCabe exhibition

Last night we went to the opening party of Sally MacCabe's solo exhibition at the Crypt Gallery which is beneath The Society of Artists in St Ives.  I am a fan of Sally's work which can be also seen at Back Road Artworks where she can often be seen working on Fridays & is happy to discuss her work with visitors.

However the exhibition is running from
28th June until 5 July 10.30 - 5pm so if you get the opportunity to visit it really is a lovely show...

Next month I am taking part in one of Sally's 'Making Artists' Books' Day School - can't wait to explore some of the techniques myself!
Check out Sally's blog too....

Quilts & Textiles....

A selection of some of the quilts & textiles on display at the American Museum...lots of lovely texture & pattern!

Kaffe Fassett exhibition

Earlier this week I visited the American Museum near Bath to see the Kaffe Fassett exhibition.  It was a real treat to see such amazing colour everywhere! My gran used to knit from some of Kaffe Fassett's patterns & I have several pieces tucked away...recently I took some photographs of some of them - I will post these too soon.
The exhibition continues until 2nd November if you get the opportunity to visit - the museum itself has an interesting collection of quilts & Folk Art plus a great garden!

I need to get making some more pom poms!
