On a knitting theme....

Having just completed my first ever knitting project (& yes I've now bought some more wool today!) I thought I would share these images.  My gran was a excellent knitter & made lots of things for us all...these are picture details of some of the Kaffe Fassett jumpers & cardigans she made over the years...Most of these have been distributed amongst friends & the odd one to a lucky charity shop! I wanted to have a record of what she had done so I photographed the pieces before they went!

I think it may be a while before my skills have improved enough to attempt anything like these???

On Saturday I went to another workshop at the Newlyn Centre.  This time we were creating an 'Art Journal' - primarily working with watercolours & stamps.
Another really enjoyable day was had by all & I have decided to join this group once a month for some more 'creative play'!

Experiments with paint & stamps...

Assembling the book from black card

Creating the 'pages' from watercolour paper to add later..

I restricted my colour palette as I wanted a cohesive look to the journal..

The cover of my completed journal....

Back page of journal...

Outlaw pictures

Saturday's show Outlaw in Penzance was a brilliant success! Visitors were there at the door waiting at 10am for the event to open. There were lots of new faces & some customers from the April event earlier this year. Many of my leaves went to new homes, including several of the new holly of my latest limpet pieces (like the one I'm wearing in the pics) was purchased for a 'special' birthday present & t-lights were also very popular.  My next show is the Christmas event at Trereife in a couple of weeks...better get making some more stock then!
