Yesterday was a very busy day setting up 2 separate displays at 2 venues in the area.
The first of which I have shown at the past couple of years the Art & Crafts Exhibition in aid of Cancer Research UK at Cape Cornwall School.
This huge event is in its 50th year!! It's is extremely well organised by a team of volunteers who staff it daily between 3rd & 19th August 10am - 9pm so plenty of time to visit (even after work/or beach if you are on holiday).
It's the first time I have had my shhhh...Christmas decorations at this event but I know that visitors to the area have mentioned they like to do some Christmas shopping at the show. I had my first trade order for Christmas decorations a week or so ago...production of robins & reindeers starts again!
After a quick lunch at the Dog & Rabbit in St Just we headed off to Mawnan Smith via some very narrow & wiggly lanes (thanks sat nav!) to put up the display for the 40th Cornish Craft Market in the Memorial Hall. I have not exhibited at this event before but know several makers who have & say it's a busy little show. More information can be found by calling 01326 250334.
Both of these shows are stewarded so I will be not be there myself. I do plan to visit them of course to see the shows when they are fully set up & maybe make a few purchases as usual!...
