Autumn in St Ives Exhibition

I am currently exhibiting at the St Ives Arts Club with knitwear designer Alison Dupernex.  We have previously show together at this venue in February this year with our 'Colours of Cornwall' exhibition.  We then realised how well our different disciplines work together.

The theme this time is the changing colours of Autumn with reds/oranges/rusts/ochre combined in metalwork & yarns. We are both demonstrating some of our techniques while we are at the Arts Club so visitors can get a better understanding of what is involved.  I have a selection of my sketch books available which show the starting points for many of my designs. I am also developing some new jewellery ideas based on seaweed finds while I am there.

The exhibition continues until Friday 14th October closing at 5pm.  If you are unable to make it this time there is a little video clip on my Facebook page.  We are also planning a further event in February 2017.

Guild of Ten window display....

I have been a member of the Guild of Ten for around 3 years now.  It's great to be part of such a well established organisation & to have an outlet in Truro.  I always have a wide selection of my work on display in the gallery & at the moment I am also sharing the window display with member Rob Braybrooks.  I think our work complements each other well.

If you are in Truro in the next couple of weeks try to pop along & have a look at the display.  The Guild is open Monday - Saturday 10am - 5.30pm.

As part of the Guild of Ten membership we each steward for several days a year in the gallery.

My next days are as follows:
Monday 24th October
Thursday 3rd November
Tuesday 15th November
Tuesday 13th December
