All Things Bright & Beautiful

Today I set up a display of metalwork at the Morvah Schoolhouse Gallery for the Christmas exhibition 'All Things Bright & Beautiful'. Not all of the exhibits were in place while I was there but what I did see looked very enticing.

The gallery is open Thursday to Sundays 11am - 3.30pm There is a little cafe too so you could always stay for lunch...

Seaweed Jewellery Collection

Recently I've been working on some new designs....something that has taken a while after the busy summer season here in St Ives.  My seaweed metalwork has been very popular so the jewellery has been a natural progression from that work....
At the moment the earrings & necklaces are in sterling silver with a bright or oxidised finish but I want to look into gold plating some of the pieces to add further colour contrasts as when I was making the 'masters' they looked good in copper & brass colours...

Hopefully this new work will get a good response...I shall be showing it for the first time this weekend at Flambards
Sat 3rd & Sun 4th December 10am - 4pm
